Received 180 Likes on 135 Posts. I believe the BTR's go through a different hardening/nitride process than the Comps do. I have seen failures in the Comps due to the bearings eating at the center trunnion, where as i have not seen this with the BTR's. I personally have the BTR's on my car.
With thinner inner and outer rings, these bearings keep your machines more compact than high-load crossed-roller bearings. Route hydraulic lines, electrical wiring, and other components through the inside of the bearing. Mounting holes on the rings allow for fastening onto hollow joints and shafts.
The bearings are the same diameter but the pin is bigger. On the Marlin 6-stud arms the trunion presses out and you press the new trunion pin back in. The part on the trunion pin that presses into the arm is one inch in diameter. I do not know if the trunion pin on TG's presses out or not.
2. Carefully press the bearing into the rocker arm until the outside of the bearing assembly is flush with the rocker arm body. 3. Once the first bearing has been installed, flip the rocker arm over. Apply a coating of assembly lube or engine oil to the new trunion and install the new trunion.
